Joe used dancing as a metaphor to living life with Jesus. Have you ever viewed your relationship with God as a sort of dance? Is this metaphor helpful? Why or why not?
-
Read Luke 10:1-7 (NLT). What can we take away from this passage?
-
What does, “Now go, and remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves,” mean?
-
How do you think these disciples felt when Jesus told them not to bring any money or extra clothes?
-
Why do you think Jesus asked them to do this?
-
Read Luke 10:16-19 (NLT). Why do you think the disciples joyfully report to him?
-
Do you feel like you have been operating in the power of the Holy Spirit lately? Why or why not?
-
Read Genesis 3:13-15 (NLT). What are some of the consequences of the fall?
-
What does verse 15 mean, and how can it bring us hope despite the consequences?
-
Read Luke 10:20 (NLT). What does, “rejoice because your names are registered in heaven,” mean?
-
How does this bring confidence into our lives?
-
Jesus said rather than rejoice in the power we have, we should rejoice that are names are written in heaven. In other words, it's better to take joy in our relationship with Jesus, rather than in the ministry. How does that hit you? What do you think?
-
Have you been on the "dance floor" when it comes to your faith or have you been on the sidelines?
-
